MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Hi, I’m Blake.

I have been playing piano since I was 5 when my grandfather wanted me to start taking lessons. Because I was born 3 months early and blind as a result, he wanted me to pursue playing the piano. I never liked playing piano as a kid but as I grew older I began to enjoy it when I found the style of music I wanted to play.
I also began to play the guitar at age 13, and to study theory, composing and technique. I realized that I enjoyed the guitar more than piano because it was a more expressive instrument to me. I took lessons from many great teachers over the years and they helped me develop my technique, and a good ear for music. I always wanted to learn how to play lead guitar so that is mostly what I focused on.

I have always enjoyed playing music, but I enjoy teaching just as well and that is why I started this blog. I created it to help guitarists learn to play lead guitar, and to share tips that will help you improve as a guitarist.
